Japan Here I Come!
by Ron Pereira on January 11th, 2008I am excited to announce that I am headed to see lean manufacturing at its best as I join Gemba Research on their upcoming Japan Kaikaku Experience.
We arrive in Japan March 9 and the plans are to visit the following companies during the trip.
- Toyota Kyushu
- TOTO Kokura
- Omron Taiyo Beppu
- Saishunka Pharmaceuticals
- NGK Miyanojo - Kagoshima
I will be taking lots of pictures (when permitted of course) and hope to even break out a camcorder when possible. I will do my best to share all of my experiences with you over the blog. So stay tuned!
If you have any questions for me to ask or things you would like me to watch for while in Japan please email me or leave a comment below.

Congats! I look forward to hearing all about Japan. Maybe someday I will get to go on the trip too.
That’s exciting! Can’t wait to hear (and see) about your exploits!!
I remember when Mike Wroblewski (of the Got Boondoggle? blog) wrote about a trip he made:

Thanks Brad and Mark. Funny thing is Mike’s posts way back when really got me wanting to make this trip. It is going to be awesome.
Hey Ron! Sounds great. Be prepared for jet lag and l-o-n-g days. Don’t forget to charge-up the digital camera and take spare underwear.
