Sheryl Speaks about Toilet Paper

by Ron on April 23rd, 2007

This article about toilet paper conservation, yes you read that right, has nothing to do with Lean or Six Sigma… but I just had to share. Comments?

I didn’t read the article, but if you’re using more than you need, that’s waste, right??

Indeed. I stand (or sit?) corrected!

Using less than you need isn’t good either. Unless Sheryl has a brilliant plant to solve the root cause of the problem (ie. strong bowel movements) — “only one square per restroom visit, except, of course, on those pesky occasions where two to three could be required” — just doesn’t cut it.

The quotes at the end of the article make it seem even more ridiculous — she has spent “the better part of this tour” thinking about this and she’s still not sure how but wants to have a restriction put in place to enforce this? :)
